ORDER:

Attention of all the Regional Joint Directors of School Education and District Educational Officers in the State is invited to the reference cited, and they are informed that in pursuance of the Academic Calendar for the year 2025–2026, it is decided to implement half-day schools with effect from 16-03-2026 till the end of the Academic Year in the State, in order to protect students from the rising temperatures in the State.

During this period, classes from 1st to 10th will operate from 7:45 AM to 12:30 PM. This schedule shall be followed by all managements of schools, including Government, Zilla Parishad, Municipal, Aided, and Private Recognized Unaided Schools in the State.

Further, the Mid-Day Meal Programme will continue during this period, ensuring that students receive the necessary nutrition.

Therefore, all the Regional Joint Directors of School Education and District Educational Officers in the State are hereby instructed to strictly comply with the above instructional timings for Government, Zilla Parishad, Municipal, Aided, and Private Recognized Unaided Schools in the State, as indicated in the Academic Calendar for the year 2025–26, without any deviation.
